At launch, advertising and paid sponsorships are disabled across New York Urban. Our initial priority is building a reliable, independent resource for the city.
Future Advertising Standards
When we do introduce advertising, we will adhere to the following strict standards to ensure our independence and your trust:
- Clear Labeling: Any paid content, including display ads and sponsored articles, will be clearly labeled as "Sponsored," "Advertisement," or "Paid Content."
- No Government Endorsement: Advertisers and sponsors do not represent the city government, nor does their presence imply any official endorsement by city agencies.
- Protected Content: Advertisements will never be placed within emergency alerts, official government instructions, or live AI assistant answers without explicit, prominent disclosure.
Independence of Data
Sponsorship and advertising never change live data, factual outputs, or our editorial judgment. We do not accept "pay-to-play" for higher rankings in search results or better reviews of businesses and attractions.
Revenue Disclosure
New York Urban is a privately operated venture. Our goal is to eventually support the site through a mix of advertising, affiliate partnerships (e.g., ticket bookings), and premium features, all while maintaining the editorial integrity that makes this guide useful.
