New York Urban may use AI tools in two ways:
- Content assistance — AI tools may help draft or summarize portions of editorial content, which is reviewed under our Editorial & Sources Policy;
- The AI City Guide assistant — an interactive chat feature that answers questions about New York City using AI, drawing on site content and general knowledge.
2. AI can be wrong
AI-generated responses can be incomplete, outdated or simply incorrect, including hours, prices, addresses, eligibility rules and safety-related information. Always verify important or time-sensitive details with the venue, operator or official source before relying on them.
3. Not official or professional advice
Responses from the AI City Guide assistant are not official government guidance, and not legal, financial, medical or safety advice. In an emergency, call 911.
4. Data handling in chat
Messages you send to the assistant may be processed by a third-party AI provider to generate a response. Avoid sharing sensitive personal information in chat prompts. See our Privacy Policy for more.
